When I moved to Walpole with my family in 2019, I quickly fell in love with its friendly people, recreational opportunities and quality businesses. Since then, my fondness for the town has only grown as the town itself has grown. (We’ve seen a brand new middle school and multiple new businesses in the town center, with plans underway for significant high school improvements and infrastructure upgrades.) While my family’s roots in Walpole might not be deep if measured in years, our roots are deep if measured in relationships and affection.
Professionally, I’ve worked in legal and compliance for more than 20 years. After earning my undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College, I earned my law degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. With stops at small law firms and giant corporations along the way, I’m currently the Director of Contracts & Compliance at a Boston-based market research firm.
My local volunteer work currently includes serving on the Walpole Recreation Committee that oversees the wonderful recreational, educational, and cultural programming sponsored by the Town of Walpole. Previously, I served on the School Council for Johnson Middle School, a state-mandated advisory group that adopted educational goals and school improvement plans.
Beyond Walpole, I’m a leadership mentor and coach through the Garthwait Leadership Center at Gettysburg College where I work with young alumni to achieve leadership development goals such as self-awareness, team leadership, effective interpersonal communication, and navigating, influencing and engaging stakeholders.
In my spare time, I’m an avid if not mediocre golfer, a less-avid and less-mediocre woodworker, and somehow an even-less-avid and even-less-mediocre fly fisherman. While my family enjoys none of those activities, I do enjoy spending time with them.
